These things keep getting away from me. Especially with my brain being all wrapped up in the absolute sad assed story I'm finishing. Ugh WTF. Why did I think NOW was a good time to do that?!

Anyways enough about my self-induced melancholy. Onto Day 4.

Growing up my family moved A LOT. It wasn't until high school that we actually stayed in one place for more than 3 years.
So vast amounts of time were spent in the car during my childhood. I remember being young, maybe 6-7 and the family just singing along to Don McLean's American Pie as I stared out the back window of the car. There was always a ton of concerts on these drives and still to this day I get all warbly when hearing certain songs. It's been a long time since my family wandered (Been rooted to one place for almost 12 years now). But sometimes I'll hear American Pie on the radio and it gets me itching to go.

Being a Navy brat myself, I can identify with the childhood of moving around, even if I was pretty young for most of the moves. We've lived in Maryland for over 20 years now but I don't identify as a Marylander.

Weird Al has completely ruined this song for me - I think I now know the Star Wars lyrics better than the original lol #geekproblems

Right? People always ask me where my hometown is and I'm like O_O even though we have lived here for so long.

Hehehe Now I've totally got the song stuck in my head.

Oh my my, this here Anakin guy Maybe Vader someday later, now he's just a small fry He left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye Sayin', "Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi, soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"
