<-------- That's 100%, absolutely me right now. Which is why I spent last night screencapping and making a TON of new icons AND making stupid art for my AU but not writing any of it. Which means I can't show anyone the pictures because I haven't WRITTEN the story. >.> I'm starting to rethink my "finish the story completely before posting" rule I *JUST* imposed on myself. Maybe journal only until it's finished THEN I'll put it up other places?

BWHAHA WTF happened. I took a tenantive step with the Slay-Team which honestly is AU light. Take out the werewolf aspect and it's still the A-Team. Next thing I know I'm falling face first into freaking circus and robots. *look at your choices Stiney* lol

But I think that's the fun thing about the AUs with this fandom. You don't have to make massive changes to the characters or their situation/jobs in order to make something work. The military and/or soldier of fortune thing works basically everywhere (which is probably why all of my AUs involve the military still, lol)...

I hauled ass on writing up until I moved and got this job then it was like NOPE. I love the panties stories but honestly the last story that I was like OMG I absolutely love this so much was my damned gunplay one.

I know, I know, I hate how work gets in the way of all the things we'd rather be doing. I'm hoping that after I get out, I'll be able to find a job that's a little less in-the-way. Not likely, but a girl can always dream, right?

I was talking to my dad the other day about how I was urgh about this job and he was like well what do you wanna do and I just kinda shrugged. He was all I know you wanna write. You need to be poor and write then. O_O My father is awesome. Crazy but awesome.

I'm looking at stuff right now. There are a couple things that look promising (and a few involve writing) but we shall see how any of that turns out. I'd love to write as a job, but honestly, there's not much money in it, and I know that. :(

I didn't write for 8 years and when I started last Decemeber I was like OMG I can't believe I stopped this. And now being back on the other side where I'm struggling again. Honestly it fucking SUCKS. I have all these ideas for original shiat that are so damned amazing but now every time I pick up paper I freeze up. I hate it. I'd rather have no money at all.

Yeah, I can understand that. I'm in the same place right now, actually, but maybe for different reasons. Poor but published would be AWESOME.

(my secret master plan is to marry some nice rich boy (or girl) who doesn't care that I'm bi - amazingly, seems to be a problem for some people - and just be a stay-at-home mom/writer. Hee...)

Military guys tend to view military females as little better than bra-burning feminist whores. So yes, I think it'll get better. *crosses fingers* But yes, relationships do seem to be an awful lot of work.

But yes, come to Colorado. The judges in Boulder are even grandfathering the new laws in. If you were arrested before the election/vote with 1 ou of weed, you're free to go!

But seriously, Colorado has a lot more to offer than hippies and pot... although that is a major consideration for coming here, haha!

Which is complete and utter bullshit. They shouldn't make it hard on ANYONE just because your path happens to be different than theirs. That's why I'm glad I went through all my crap basically friendless in my podunk hometown. I didn't have all the bullshit that I encountered when I moved to a bigger city. Ugh, I hate people sometimes. >.>

I have friends who live in Colorado and love it. Thoooooough they love the pot as well. xD

I know, right? Ugh. There's not much of an LGBT community here in Colorado anyway, and with all the megachurches in my town, I think it makes the "L"s extra defensive or something. The sooner I get out of this place, the better. Beautiful, but...

I wish I could say it was just defensiveness because of churches but honestly it's what happens when they get so insulated in the community. I mean I had a woman once pretty much attack me verbally because I hung out with a gay male couple more than I did lesbians. "Biatch you just proved WHY I don't hang out with lesbians." >.>

Yeah, I could see that. It's a pretty standard theme anywhere, though; you're surrounded by people who are exactly like you, and you get to stop being considerate (OT, but my current favorite example from work, somebody decided to start pronouncing the acronym for a briefing as "queer", and when I tried to point out to my boss that it was insulting, he just gave me this blank look and asked me who was going to care). But anyway, I was excited, thought I'd be able to find some decent people who would understand, and instead I got... that.

Ugh. You'll def find a groove eventually. It just sucks having to wade through all the assholes first.
