Jumping way ahead in time? Nope. I was 6.
My love of the A-Team started back when the show was still on, mainly because my awesome older cousin (who I pray never finds this journal) was obsessed with the show. And anything he did *I* had to do. Well, except this. It was my own doing.
My cousin had all the A-Team action figures. One day I decided to steal his Face action figure. When my mom found me later I was behind the couch kissing on it. My mom was so angry and I didn't know why. I mean the girls on TV kissed Face, why couldn't I? >.< Hehe
I'm pretty sure that goes down in Stiney history as the ONLY time I picked Face over Murdock. Lol. Shhhhhh.
Back in 2000 I bought all the action figures off Ebay, including the Amy Allen one. I told my cousin about them and he was like "I wish I'd known I would have given you the ones I had when I was a kid. I just sold them to some random guy."
*sad panda*
Oh, I would have loved to be reunited with the first man I kissed.

Date: 2012-11-21 06:00 pm (UTC)From:LIKE, I HAD NO ACTION FIGURES, BUT I KISSED THE TV FOR FACE. WHEN I WAS 7.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHY I'M CAPSLOCKING SO MUCH. xD
ETA: Also I wrote Dirk Benedict a letter, LMAO. And it came back when I was 11. (The actual letter came back, not a reply. AFTER 4 YEARS.) And it felt like I had sent that letter a million years ago and it was so irrelevant that I was like "*shrugs* whatever", and I've never even opened the letter that came back, and now I don't have it. *pouty face*

Date: 2012-11-21 08:11 pm (UTC)From:I was going to say who else I kissed the tv for, but I think it's a public post, and once I actually had an RL person google random old fandom things about me to find me online, so I'd rather not say both names in the same place, lol.BUT BASICALLY I WAS A WEIRD KID CRUSHING ON OLD MEN. xDAW. It's so weird how much I didn't care about that particular letter. I don't think I totally didn't care about The A-Team at that time, I just grew up so much that it didn't feel like I was the kid who sent the letter, or something? And now it's also weird because I have kept ALL KINDS OF OLD PAPER JUNK, lol, even older than that, but I don't have that letter, I've never even seen it since then.
