After last night's "I have no job!!!" I got two calls for interviews today. Here's hoping one of them pans out. :D

Also just realized... I have a rought draft of my [livejournal.com profile] undeadbigbang due in a month. A FINISHED story rough draft. How many words of 5k have I written?? NONE...ZERO. At least I have a complete outline of what the story is. It's gonna be Amy Allen's Slay-Team story. Hopefully it'll work out because I love the idea. I even made up a monster. :D Maybe a job on the horizon will help soothe the writing waters.

good luck with your interviews! It's a step in the right direction, in the least :)

Thanks!!
It is. One of them is to work at a grocery store bakery the other is a call center for Directv and once I've been there for 30 days I get the big Directv package for free while I work there.

How's your job going?

mine is fine! we had a big Company VP visit that I didn't have to be around for since I was too new and would prob fuck things up - hopefully everyone will be relaxed now that this has happened.

the bakery could be deadly, but tasty. I love baked goods. Free TV is nice too, but I bet people are real pissy when their cable goes out.

Sweet! That's always nice.

That's what I'm worried about. Hopefully it'll be one of those I'm around it so much I don't want it types of things.

The free TV would kick ass but man I really honestly don't think I can go back on the irate customer route. But at least it would be over the phone and not like the time someone tried to fight me over a $20 movie late fee. Ugh.

it happened to me when I worked at an ice cream shop...at first, awesome. Then, suddenly, ice cream was not so amazing anymore (until I like, stopped working there for a week).

customer service over the phone is probably far more manageable - I hate it when people get in my face, and especially when they are just in the wrong and are belligerent about it. I could never do phones, though, I got all worked up calling from admissions when I worked in college - and these were kids who had applied!

I just got a call from my Graphic Design professor about a graphics job at a newspaper so hopefully I can get that. Which would be way nicer than talking to people all day, especially upset people.

that sounds lovely...and it's probably a decent shot, since you're getting a professor to recommend it for you.

HUZZAH!! I got a call from the advertising place for an interview and the woman doing the interviews is a woman I worked with before at the newspaper. This, this is good. :D

hoooooray! doing graphic design for the ad firm? I used to work at an ad firm and really liked it - it's nice to work with creative people who aren't so creative they can't function in an office environment.

Yeah the position is only part time though but STILL. I can make there what I make full time doing the call center job. SOOOOO hopefully it'll work out. :D
